Missions at HRBC

At HRBC, people are on mission with God! We are a community oasis and a global mission outpost for everyone’s faith journey. We look to join the Holy Spirit in Missio Dei – God’s Mission in the world. We know that God is present and active throughout creation. Often, we need to be reminded of God’s activity in our midst. Serving our neighbors, be they in Richmond or across the globe, is a humbling and transformative way of being surprised by God’s ongoing mission! Through mission partnerships, HRBC provides opportunities throughout the year to join with God in God’s mission. In the process, you never know who you might encounter and how God will touch your life and the life of others!

Global Partnerships

Ron and Melin Green - Interserve Personnel – SE Asia

Ron and Melin Green established Rural Asia Initiative in 1997 to provide opportunities for building relationships and sharing Christ among unreached people groups in South East Asia while meeting needs holistically. The Greens work with impoverished rural communities in SE Asia primarily in the areas of agriculture, clean water, and microenterprise development. Some of the other project areas include a scholarship program for village children, after school programs and tutoring for students, computer lessons, discipleship training, and most recently, a medical boat that navigates the busy river offering free medical care.

Larry and Sarah Ballew - CBF Field Personnel

Our church has partnered with Larry and Sarah Ballew for many years while they served as CBF Field Personnel in Macau, China. In early 2023, they sensed God’s call away from Macau and are in the process od discerning a new call through CBF Global. We continue to pray with and for them in this time of transition.

Local Partnerships

We are proud to provide a space for New Life Arabic Church to meet and worship. Their pastor, Youssef Khalil, ministers to the Arabic community here in Midlothian. The New Life Arabic Church meets on Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. here at HRBC. We partner with them to reach this population in our area.
