Worship & Music
Worship and music are integral to what we do at HRBC.
Worship at Huguenot Road Baptist Church
Worship is one of our five God-sized dreams: HRBC offers life-changing worship experiences. Through dynamic and inspiring encounters with Jesus, people will know God and make God known to others.
The goal of worship is to “glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” Worship at HRBC involves bringing the best “first fruits” of everything that we have and that we are, in worship of God. It is a recognition of God’s worth which includes offering God glory, honor, praise, and adoration. The primary focus of worship is on God, with a secondary emphasis on the relationship of participants, individually and collectively, with God. During our times of worship, we confess our need for Christ, express worship to God with our hearts and lips, receive instruction from the scriptures, give our material possessions to God, and celebrate the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and believer’s Baptism. In all of these things, we worship together, with an openness to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
One way HRBC gives praise to God is through music. The music ministry at HRBC offers all ages and all skills a place to make a joyful noise to the Lord.
