Adult Ministries

Ages: College through Senior Adults

Young Adults

Young adults (starting in college) meet on Thursday nights at 6pm. They meet in a different spot each week, so please contact sara@hrbcrichmond.org if you’re interested in attending.

Adults

Looking for a place to connect with others, grow in knowing God, and be transformed?  Adult Bible studies and discipleship groups are the primary place of connection and growth at Huguenot Road Baptist Church.

Disciples grow through Bible study and interaction with other believers.  That’s why we encourage participation in one of 15 adult Bible studies each Sunday morning at 9:15 am.  We invite you to share in LIFE together. The acronym stands for:

  • L—Loving Relationships
  • I—Intentional Caring
  • F—Faith Formation
  • E—Empowered for Ministry

Regardless of your situation, you can find a place to fit in at HRBC. We have groups for men, women, co-ed, singles, couples, and more! When you visit, just ask one of our greeters to help connect you with the right class for you.

PrimeTimers Senior Adult Ministry

There is no exact age when a person becomes a “senior.” Some say 55 or 60 or even 75. At HRBC you become a PrimeTimer at 55! If you visit our church you will see PrimeTimers serving in all ministries. We invite you to join us in opportunities for ministry and fellowship.

Activities for seniors include:

  • Encouraging one another as we face the challenges of aging; special seminars/retreats
  • Striving to be people of compassion and working on building relationships
  • Missions – providing opportunities to touch lives and make an impact for Christ
  • Fellowship – Annual Spring Picnic, Annual Christmas Dinner, and other gatherings

Healing Hearts

The vision of this ministry is “To be a loving, compassionate, supportive group to those who have experienced the ultimate loss of a spouse by death.  To be committed to minister as they work through their losses.”

The Healing Hearts holds dear the words of II Corinthians 1:3-5 in supporting one another through the loss of a spouse.

This ministry remains very active incorporating the activities like periodic meetings, service projects, regular phone contact, and mutual love and support to one another.

If you have experienced the loss of a spouse and would like more information, please contact the church office.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
