United Praise, our HRBC youth choir, has been invited to represent the USA at the Baptist World Congress in Honolulu, HI, in July of 2010. The Baptist World Alliance is made up of the 214 Baptist conventions and unions from over 100 nations - representing over 105 million believers from around the world. Every five years, thousands of these Baptists gather in one spot on the globe for a World Congress. Worshipping in every language, dress and culture, these fellow Christians paint a beautiful picture of the body of Christ in the world today. United Praise has been asked to be welcoming ambassadors as the nations arrive in the Hawaii convention center. They have also been asked to sing for large and small group worship gatherings as well as in other music venues. The opportunity to study God’s Word and fellowship with others from around the world is very exciting. The invitation for this music ministry project came from an international committee which met in Amsterdam in August. The church will consider this invitation at the Quarterly Congregational Meeting on October 17.
