This year we are trying some new things. First off is our new name. 12:2 Ministries. 

It's based on Romans 12:2 which states: 

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will"

This is our goal for all of our students. We pray that they will Connect with God instead of conforming to the world's standard. We pray that they will take time to renew their minds. We pray that this leads to a transformation in their lives. Everything we do has a purpose to either Connect, Grow, or help Transform the lives of our teenagers. 

Another new thing that we are trying is a change to this blog. Every Wednesday night we have a weekly Large group time and small group time. It's called Elevate. We cover topics that pertain to the lives of teenagers and how to grow closer to God. Our first two series are about Worship and Temptation. So what does this have to do with the Parents Page?  Each week in this spot, I'm going to give you the topic of what we are talking about that week. I'm also going to try and provide you with questions that you can discuss with your student. That's my hope. You are still the number one influence in your child's life. I would like to help you with that. So check back here every week and see what we are talking about. This will start the week of September 29th. I hope to see you then!
