Key Thought: “Christmas comes at the intersection of the sublimely holy and the utterly common.”  Immanuel means “God with us.”  This is “incarnation.”

Incarnation: In Christian theology, “The gracious voluntary act of God assuming a human body and a human nature.”  God in the flesh. (John 1:14)

1.   God CHOSE to come among us.

2.   God is with us -- NO MATTER WHAT!

3.   There is POWER in the with.
