Renovation Frequently Asked Questions Part 4

Renovation Frequently Asked Questions Part 4

Here is the fourth round of questions regarding our building and renovation project. Don't forget, you can submit your questions on line as well.

We do not always reach our weekly budget need. How will we raise the money to complete this project?
Even with a downturn in the economy, our giving has increased the last several years. In the last two years, our receipts have exceeded our expenses by over $30,000. While the goals before us are challenging, they are based on two things: 1) Our campaign consultants have reviewed our financial stability. Through years of experience working with churches around the country, they helped us arrive at the numbers you see to the right. 2) Faith. As a congregation, we have discerned that God is calling us to this phase in our life cycle and has provided us the resources to fulfill this vision.

What is being done to address green concerns and energy conservation?
Currently, we have the basic drawings from the architect. As we move forward in the construction phase, we will be in a better position to address this question with specific details.

By the numbers...

 Estimated renovation/building project: $2,400,000
 Estimated sanctuary audio/visual upgrade: $100,000
 Total project: $2,500,000

How do we get there?

 First Fruits Offering:      $800,000
 Additional faith-based pledges over 3 years:   $800,000
 Total Gifts & Pledges:  $1,600,000
 Borrowing Needs:  $900,000
 Total Project:    $2,500,000

As part of the kickoff to the campaign, next week, you will receive a sample giving map of how many families it takes to get to these numbers.
