Patty's experience in Haiti
Patty's experience in Haiti
Going to Haiti has been a journey that I won't soon forget. Living in a tent with no running water or electricity is certainly not my cup of tea. Yet once there, those things became unimportant as I saw sick, malnourished and desperate people longing for a little help. God's grace was ever present in volunteers from 11 countries willing to share all they had to help these people. From newborn babies to the elderly, the needs are many from the pain of losing everything they had to illnesses that will linger. Our group saw around 200 children every day. We provided medical care, gave food and formula and many hugs. As uncomfortable as we were, we knew we would be heading home to our comfortable lives. But the people of Haiti will continue to endure these horrible conditions. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support
