Wednesday Night Small Groups Resume on Sept. 21

Adult Small Group Fall Opportunities:

The way of Jesus is life-giving.  But since it is so different than the culture we live in, following the way of Jesus takes a lot of encouragement and practice. Small groups at HRBC offer a discipleship community for those who are new to following Jesus and those who have been on the road for some time. This fall, there are opportunities in which you can connect with a group in order to learn about, be encouraged by, and build friendships around our common commitment to Jesus.
Starting September 21 at 6:30 pm:
Standing at the Crossroads: Moral Decision Making  Good decision-making is essential for churches and critical for Christians who engage our complex culture.   Led by Dr. Bob Lee in room 122
Invitation to Genesis  An in-depth journey through the book of Genesis. The Bible is the primary text, with a participant book and video as supplemental material. Led by David Cottrell, Sr. in room 104
Christian Basics  The first in a three-part series, come learn about the Christian’s identity in Christ and the hope that it brings. Following this four week study, there will be two more in the series: the basics of Christian practice and the basics of Christian service. Led by Matthew Hensley in room 102
Fearless – Imagine Your Life Without Fear  A study of pastor Max Lucado’s book by the same name. Fear seems to be palpable these days. What if faith, not fear, was your default reaction to threats? A study for women led by Mollie Greenhill in room 103
The Beatitudes: Happiness is a Serious Business  According to the beatitudes, we should pursue happiness in the Lord.  This pursuit is common among all people.  But it is how we pursue happiness and what we think it is that may be different than people often think.  A study for women led by Norma Pohle in  room 125
