Camp Alkulana is a summer camp located in the Virginia Allegheny mountains expressly for boys and girls from the city of Richmond. It is sponsored by the River City Faith Network (Richmond Baptist Association) and is the oldest continuously operated camp in Virginia.
In its early years, the attendees were children whose parents worked in the city’s factories. Today, the camp offers affordable summer camp to children who are eligible for free and reduced lunch at school. Camp Alkulana offers these kids an opportunity to experience God in the Virginia mountains - away from the bustle and sometimes dangers of the city.
During the week of May 15-22, our church will observe the week of prayer for associational missions. (Our church is a part of the River City Faith Network of the Richmond Baptist Association.) Camp Alkulana is a ministry of this association. During May, HRBC and other churches in the association will collect an offering to support the ministry of Camp Alkulana. The association goal is $150,696. Click HERE to access online giving. Please give generously
