Join us for Holy Week and Easter to bring your Lenten journey to a conclusion.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday on April 13. This day commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The sanctuary will be adorned with palm branches to remind us how the people who cheered as Jesus rode into Jerusalem waved palm branches and laid their cloaks on the street to create a path for Jesus to enter.
Join us for a covered dish dinner in the Family Life Center on Thursday, April 17 at 6:00 pm. Please bring a main dish and a side dish/dessert to share. The service will begin at 6:45 pm around the tables. (There will be plenty of room for you at the table for worship even if you cannot come for dinner). This service will be a combination of Maundy Thursday with the Last Supper and Good Friday, ending with the cross of Christ. The service will be rich in meaning and symbolism and will be an important step in understanding the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf.
Join us for the ultimate day in the life of Christians worldwide - Resurrection Day! Easter Sunday, April 20 is the day of celebration! Our Savior, Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death and has brought us hope of salvation. When you come to church that day, bring fresh cut flowers from your yard or maybe some that you have purchased and place them on the cross in the sanctuary. The sanctuary will also be adorned with purchased potted flowers. These may be placed in honor or memory of a loved one. Please watch for order forms in worship bulletins and online in the weeks leading up Easter.
