It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

On Wednesday, September 11, the music ensembles of HRBC will begin a new year of rehearsal, learning, serving, leading and worshiping. There is an ensemble for all ages and of all skill levels. For all open ensembles, there are never auditions. So, come one, come all and join in the song!

The King’s Kids Choirs welcomes children who are in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. This choir will sing once a month in worship and for special programs during the year. The rehearsal begins at 6:00 pm. Also at 6:00 pm, the King’s Kids Junior Choir welcomes preschool children. Some years this learning ensemble will also include younger ages. This choir sings when developmentally ready and does not have a regularly scheduled time to do so.

The Christmas Choir welcomes any adult in the church who would like to be in the choir for Advent and Christmas but who may not be able to commit to singing in the choir full time each Sunday. This rehearsal begins at 7:30 pm for 30 minutes. Childcare is available.

The Chancel Choir welcomes any adult in the church and is a part of the Christmas Choir. Their rehearsal will continue at the end of Christmas Choir for 30 additional minutes to learn anthems to sing in worship each week. Childcare is available during this rehearsal as well. Come join the song!

On Monday, September 9, the As One praise band begins their regular rehearsal. They rehearse from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. This is an auditioned band that leads the CrossRoads Contemporary Worship service on Sunday mornings. We are looking to expand the band to have enough members to lead on a rotational basis. Be watching for more information on auditions.

On Sunday, September 15, the following ensembles will begin their new year:

The HRBC Festival Orchestra welcomes any person who plays an orchestral or band instrument who has had at least one year of school or private instruction on their instrument. This is a mentoring orchestra where new players are encouraged to ask questions and learn from experienced players. This ensemble rehearses on Sundays from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm.
The United Praise acapella youth choir welcomes students who are in 6th through 12th grades. This is a non-auditioned ensemble who sing for worship, tours, missions and concerts. This ensemble meets from 5:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings.
