As One Adult

Psalm 149:1 ""Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.""

This Praise and Worship Band uses skilled instrumentalists and vocalists. They pray and praise together to become ""As One"" in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Leading worship in an upbeat, contemporary style of music gives As One opportunities to lead people to a closer relationship with Jesus during worship.

Rehearsal: Monday 7:00-9:00 PM

Chancel Choir Adult

Psalm 108:1 ""My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all of my soul!""

Even though the idea of "adult choir" has been around a long time, HRBC is always bringing that concept to a new dimension. The Chancel Choir consists of any adult HRBC member that wishes to help lead the congregation in worship each Sunday throughout the year. In the past few years, this group has also participated in a variety of musical productions and has toured in North Carolina and Virginia. They rehearse every Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Bible promises us that we will be worshiping God in heaven for eternity, so what better place to start practicing than right here!

Rehearsal: Wednesday 7:30-8:30 PM

Gloria Deo Women

Psalm 95:1 ""O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord.""

Gloria Deo is a ladies' vocal ensemble. These ladies have had the awesome opportunity to participate in worship at different churches in the community. Their varied music styles add a refreshing dimension to any worship service. Gloria Deo meets Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., September through May."

King's Kids Children's Choirs Children

"Psalm 127:3 ""Children are a gift from the Lord.""

There is nothing that will bring a smile to your face quicker than to see a group of bright-eyed kids singing praises to Jesus! That's what King's Kids are all about. This group of Kindergarden through 5th graders knows how to bring joy and excitement to their task of making music for God. They meet each Wednesday evening at 6:00, September through May."

Orchestra Intergenerational - Middle School and Up

I Chronicles 15:16 "" David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint .......singers to sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments ....."

Over the past few years God has been blessing the music ministry at HRBC with an ever-growing orchestra. We began with a handful of dedicated musicians that has now grown into a 35-piece orchestra. Many HRBC adults have dusted off their instruments after several years and are now renewing their love for music through this ministry! The Orchestra practices Sunday, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Any instrumentalist, grade 7 through adult, is welcome to join. There is no audition process, but one year of experience on your instrument is required.

Rehearsal: Sunday 3:30-5:00 PM

United Praise Youth Choir

Psalm 100:1-2 ""Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs.""

HRBC Youth experience a high-energy, face-paced choir practice. They are a very talented group of students that love to use their talents to praise God. They prepare anthems to share in worship services, present musical productions as well as write and perform their own original dramas. This group meets each Sunday evening at 5:00, September through May. There is no audition process, just willing servants.

Rehearsal: Sunday 5:00 PM , September-May

The expression of music in worship was as much a part of the lives of biblical people as it is today. Worshiping and praising the living Savior is what we will be doing forever! Whether in a personal setting or corporate gathering, we at HRBC celebrate our personal relationship with the Father through worship.

Phillip has served with us since February 1992. God has certainly used him to expand our music ministry. We have seen growth in the addition of youth and children's choirs, a 35-piece orchestra, vocal and instrumental ensembles, praise teams and a wide variety of musical   productions. It is exciting to be a part of this ever-changing ministry!
