As of February 15, we are only $150,000 short of reaching our first benchmark in the It’s Time capital fund raising effort: the $800,000 the congregation agreed we needed to begin construction. We will continue to receive gifts over the 3-year campaign, with our goal of raising at least $1.2 million in that time frame. The cost of the entire renovation project is approximately $2.4-2.5 million, and we will borrow whatever is necessary to make up the difference. Since we are only two months into the 3-year phase of the capital campaign, this is a strong indication of the congregation’s commitment to seeing this project through. Meanwhile, do not forget how vitally important it is that we continue to give to our ongoing ministry needs through the regular budget offering.
