You are here because you are an editor for the HRBC website.
There are a few things to keep in mind:
- Microsoft Word makes really bad text for websites. There are times when you will be pulling text from Word to use on the website. If you do, consider the "Paste Plain Text" button within the editor. You would then need to "re-style" you text using the editors tools Second best option is the "Paste from Word, strip font" button within the editor. The point to all of this is to allow the website to control the appearance of the text without any overrides.
- This website is a "No Clip Art" zone. You are encouraged to utilize photos to add to your content. Some sources for photos area :

- Wikipedia:Public domain image resources
Images that hopefully (be careful) ascribe to the WikiPedia’s policy on image use and etiquette. That and a long list of image resources.
- Sometimes you only need an abstract photo or texture with some text over the image. Check out http://zentextures.com/ or one of the sites above.
- Remember to respect copyright/owner rights when finding images or other content to use.
- Use the spell check tool
- Where possible, use text on a web page in lieu of attaching or uploading a PDF or Word file.
- Be careful about the information that is posted. When in doubt about posting an postal address, email address, phone number, or photo, ask permision (preferably in email)
- Be careful when dealing with children and photos
- Think about creating a form instead of listing an email address, especially if there is more than one email addess as a form can send results to multiple recipients.
