Sunday morning was the 4th concert in our line up. We sang to a full house at Heritage Baptist. The group just keeps getting better and better! We all went to the same Sunday school class. Jeff Parker was enthralled with the teacher -- he looked and sounded just like Jerry Clower! The best part of being at Heritage began immediately after worship. Those of you who have had the good fortune to experience the Heritage potluck lunch already know what I'm talking about! More homemade, delicious food than you can imagine -- and all in one church!
With full stomachs, we loaded the bus for our ride to Charlotte. We literally moved into Christ Unted Methodist Church. This is the location of our last concert and our home for the rest of the week. Air mattresses, suitcases and ministry supplies were all unloaded as we set up camp.
It's great to have the last concert be the most lively audience. They were not shy about joining us in lively worship! Sometimes it's difficult for a choir to maintain concentration when doing multiple concerts in a short period of time. However, this congregation shared so much energy with us, we couldn't help but be at our best.
After the concert we had to say goodbye to Jeff & Terry Parker. Then began our transition into our mission focus. We met together as a large group for more specific information related to Hyaets and our ministry team.
It was during this time together that we learned about Susan's resignation. We spent time in prayer for her as she continues to respond to God's call for her life. We thanked Him for her ministry with us, and then asked Him to continue to guide us as we all transition. We love you, Susan!!
Monday begins our week at Hyaets ........ stay tuned .........
