camp Mundo Vista

camp Mundo Vista

yyHey everyone!!

    Sorry I haven't really been active!! This week we (Holly, Matt, Anna and I) are at a camp called Mundo Vista which is an all girls camp in Asheboro, NC.  It's the sister camp to Camp Caraway.  Instead of participating as campers, we are one of the two missionary groups here to talk with all of the girls about the Hyaets Community.  It was kind of weird to be introduced to hundreds of girls as a missionary, but I guess that's an appropriate title for me this summer! We do two 1-hour talks each day with about 50 campers each day.  Then, we go to there cabins that have about 15 girls and talk on a more personal level.  This is where they can ask questions, we can tell stories and just discuss more about what we do in Hyaets. When we arrived before the campers on Sunday, we were told by the camp directors that tomorrow the girls will be coming with all kinds of outdoor equipment for us to use with the kids.  We went and checked out the amount of stuff to see if we could fit it all in the car and WOAHHHH!! There were atleast 100 baseball bats and frisbees and jump-ropes and goggles! It was AMAZING! We're definately going to need a second car to help take all of these wonderful toys back to the neighborhood.  It's really awesome to see how interested these young girls are in missions and sharing the Word of God.  I look back and see myself in alot of the campers which is a really cool experience.  Matt is the ONLY male on campus right now which has made for multiple laughs.  Many of the campers have asked there counslers why there is a boy on campus.  It's so funny to see the looks on there faces when they see him.  When we get back to Hyaets I'll update you more on how the week went!  It's time for me to go jump in the pool!

Thank you again for your prayers and support! I look forward to sharing more stories when I come back!!!

Molly :)

Hey Friend! I'm so excited that you are now seen as a missionary! It's cool to be known as someone who is changing the world for God, isn't it? I'm praying for you! Keep it up!

I would bet those girls came to camp expecting the missionaries to be adults ..... probably boring, old fogies!! Little did they know they would be learning a whole new definition of cool missionary! You guys are awesome!
So .... just how many new little girlfriends does Matt have? ;~}

Awesome! I'm so thankful for your commitment to share your love of Christ with others. Isn't is fun to be a Missionary? You can put that on your earthly resume and know that God already has you on HIS!
